Hyderabad, August 20:
Noted Communist leader and Journalist, Mr. M.T. Khan passed away yesterday. He was 78. He was associated with various movements including freedom of Hyderabad, freedom of Goa and Movement against Emergency. When Communist Party of India got divided into two branches in 1962, he associated himself with CPM and in 1968, he associated himself with CPI(ML). He was also president of Civil Liberties Committee for more than two years. He was associated with revolutionary organizations of the Journalist. Mr. Khan started his career as a Teacher in Dharmavanth High School.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily visited his house at Purana Pul and condoled his death. The others who paid a visit to the departed soul were: Mr. D. Amar, Prof. Keshav Rao Jadhav, Prof. Kodandaram, Revolutionary Poet, Mr. Varavara Rao, Mr. A. Rama Rao, Mr. Hamunath Rao, Mr. P. Yadagiri, Mr. Venugopal, Mr. M. Veda Kumar and Mr. A. Narayana, Chairman of Telangana Press Academy. He was also a permanent columnist of Sunday edition of Siasat Urdu Daily.
