Narendra Modi is a joker

Narendra Modi is a joker, says Aiyar

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar lashed out at Modi for his 'lack of knowledge of about history and economics'.

NEW DELHI: Just days after its dismal showing in the assembly elections, the Congress hit out atBJP's prime ministerial candidate calling him a joker.

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar  lashed out at Modi for his 'lack of knowledge of about history and economics'.

Aiyar said: 'He has shown how big a joker he is with his foul language. He has no knowledge of history and economics.'

Modi has been credited for the saffron party's show at the recently concluded assembly polls where the BJP retained Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, snatched Rajasthan from the Congress and emerged the largest party in Delhi.

Making Manmohan PM was a mistake

Following the unprecedented drubbing at the hands of the BJP in the Assembly elections in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the Congress has been shaken up from stem to stern, and its allies and members are now questioning its leadership.

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, speaking to a television channel, blasted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the defeat, saying that the decision to make Singh the prime minister in 2009 itself was a blunder.

He said that he had questioned the wisdom of making Manmohan Singh the prime minister earlier too, but none of the Congress leaders had listened to him.

He added that the Congress should now sit in the opposition, revamp the party and reinvent itself. HE warned that if the Congress did not take these warning signals seriously, it could be in major trouble.
