Forensic expert KPC Gandhi is AP government advisor

Hyderabad, June 19: Former director of Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory and founder of Truth Labs, Kaja Purna Chandra Gandhi (KPC Gandhi) was appointed as advisor of Andhra Pradesh State government.

KPC Gandhi earned fame after starting first private forensic laboratory in the country in Hyderabad. 

The appointment assumed significance as there were allegations that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders were involved in cash-for-vote scandal.

Forensic laboratory is examining the genuineness of the audio tapes featuring purported phone conversation between Chandrababu and TRS nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson. 

Meanwhile, there were reports that Chandrababu appointed KPC Gandhi as a precautionary measure to counter the TS government in cash-for-vote scandal.

Mr KPC Gandhi will be given Cabinet Minister status.

Posted by: Pratap Published: Saturday, June 20, 2015, 10:36 [IST] Share this on your social network:    FacebookTwitterGoogle+   CommentsMail హైదరాబాద్: ఆంధ్ర ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారుగా కెపిసి గాంధీని ఆఘమేఘాల మీద ముఖ్యమంత్రి నారా చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు నియమించుకోవడం విషయంలో వ్యూహాత్మకంగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారని అంటున్నారు దేశంలో ప్రముఖ ఫోరెన్సిక్ వైద్య నిపుణుడు కెపిసి గాంధీని ఆంధ్ర రాష్ట్రప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారుగా నియమించడం సర్వత్రా చర్చనీయాంశమైంది. ఫోరెన్సిక్ రంగంలో మంచి పేరున్న గాంధీ ఐదేళ్ల క్రితమే ఏపి ఫోరెన్సిక్ ల్యాబోరేటరీ డైరెక్టర్‌గా పదవీ విరమణ చేసిన తర్వాత ట్రూత్ ల్యాబ్స్‌ను హైదరాబాద్‌లో ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. ప్రైవేట్ రంగంలో తొలి ఫోరెన్సిక్ ల్యాబ్ ట్రూత్ ల్యాబ్ కావడం గమనార్హం. ప్రస్తుతం ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబునాయుడు నోటుకు ఓటు కేసులో ఆరోపణలు ఎదుర్కుంటున్నారు. పలు అంశాలపై పోలీసు అధికారులు ఇస్తున్న సాంకేతిక పరమైన జవాబులు ప్రభుత్వాన్ని సంతృప్తిపరచడం లేదు. పైగా ఆడియో, వీడియో టేపులు, వాటిని ఫోరెన్సిక్ నిపుణులు విశ్లేషిస్తారు. అలాగే ఫోన్ ట్యాపింగ్‌కు సంబంధించిన అంశాలను కూడా ఫోరెన్సిక్ నిపుణులే అధ్యయనం చేస్తారు. ప్రస్తుత పరిస్ధితుల్లో రాష్ట్రప్రభుత్వానికి ఈ దిశగా సరైన సలహాలు, సూచనలు ఇచ్చేందుకు సరైన సలహాదారులు లేరు. అందుకే కెపిసి గాంధీ సేవలను వినియోగించుకోవడానికి ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారుగా నియమించినట్లు సమాచారం. ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారుకు క్యాబినెట్ హోదా ఉంటుంది. ఏళ్ల తరబడి ఫోరెన్సిక్ విభాగాన్ని శాసించిన అధికారి గాంధీని సలహాదారుడిగా పెట్టుకోవడంలో మరో ఎత్తు కూడా ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఆయన పనిచేసిన సమయంలో దగ్గరి వ్యక్తులు, తన మనుషులను ఉన్నతస్థానాల్లో నియమించుకున్నారు. ఇప్పటికీ విభజన ప్రక్రియ ముందుకు సాగకపోవడంలో కూడా వారి ప్రమేయం ఉన్నట్లు ఆరోపణలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. దీనితో ఆయన వర్గపు అధికారులపై నిఘా పెంచినట్టు ఉన్నత స్థాయి వర్గాల ద్వారా తెలిసింది. వీరి కదలికలు, కేసులో లోపాలకు అవకాశం ఇచ్చే వ్యవహరించినా, యత్నించినా క్రిమినల్ కేసులు పెట్టి జైలుకు పంపేలా చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని రాష్ట్ర హోంశాఖ ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేసినట్టు తెలిసింది.
